WWII veteran, Heath Hinson waited patiently for the awards he earned. At the war’s end the military was giving out awards to all the service men and women coming home that military ran out. They tried to send the awards through the mail. He finally received them over 60 years later.  Congresswomen Renee Ellmers (NC-02) making the presentation. His awards and decorations included:
